A picturesque beach located south of Hobart. There's a charming café that offers a lovely view of the beach, making it a great spot to enjoy a coffee, cake, or light lunch. Although it was too cold for us to swim, we had a delightful time walking along the beach, accompanied by friendly seagulls.
Fantastic location and excellent facilities. There are many adorable dogs around, but upon closer inspection, there's quite a bit of dog poo on the beach as not all owners clean up after their pets. I even saw one owner distracted on the phone while their dog did its business.
The beach is perfect for a leisurely stroll, with plenty of activity on the Derwent River including sailing competitions and many people swimming on a beautiful summer day in Hobart.
Refreshing sea water for swimming. Access can be challenging, making it more of a 'locals' spot. It's a smaller beach, but great for family gatherings.
This coastal town is absolutely charming. It's truly captivating to see homes situated so close to the water, creating a fantastic atmosphere. Taking a stroll along the beach from one end to the other is delightful, and if you're up for it, you can even do some rock scrambling. Additionally, you have the option to walk over to the jetty for even more breathtaking views.
