I really enjoy the atmosphere of this beach, especially when the nearby restaurants set up tables on the golden sand.

4 Frustrating

The beach had a disappointing appearance, one of the worst I had ever seen. However, the redeeming quality was the beautiful golden sand that covered the shore.

The beach behind the houses is stunning with its golden sand and is well-maintained. It's a great spot to relax and soak up the sun.

This serene and tranquil beach is a hidden gem, perfect to visit during a cold spell in western Cuba as the sea remains placid due to the north wind and relatively warm temperatures (by Cuban standards). Stretching approximately 2 kilometers, the beach is dotted with houses right on the sand. The area offers ample opportunities for diving and professional fishing, as well as the possibility of many fascinating excursions nearby. Despite being a small town, the nightlife scene is lively (although currently subdued due to COVID-19). The town is peaceful and secure, with friendly locals. However, be sure to pack bug repellent as mosquitoes and sand fleas are quite prevalent. Without a doubt, this picturesque spot is one of my favorite winter destinations to bask in the beauty of the western Cuban coast.
