Staying at the Marina Elite Hotel was the only way to get to Anfi Beach without having to walk through the highway. During the day, it was an enjoyable and interesting journey (like a virgin beach, not ideal for sunbathing but I enjoyed running through it in the morning). However, it was absolutely terrifying at night as it was pitch black and it was hard to know where to go. There was no light at all in the area, so it was best to take a mobile phone torch and have someone accompany you as the ground was rocky. The worst part was the two short tunnels, one with colourful climbing holds which was cool during the day, and the other next to the stairs towards Balito, which seemed to be occupied by homeless people and was guarded by a barking dog.
