The hike may not be hard, but it can be exhausting in the hot sun. Fortunately, the beach has a calming atmosphere, with its soft black sand and powerful ocean waves. Perched atop the cliff overlooking the beach is an ancient ruin, providing a stunning view.

Visiting this beach is a great experience, although the journey to get there is long and difficult. It starts at Tasartico, just a few hundred metres away, and is a 9.16km round trip with 840m of elevation - 420m being the highest point. The hike took us 3 hours and 20 minutes, and we are experienced hikers. Make sure to plan enough time, as it can get very hot. When you arrive, you will be rewarded with a small black sand beach, which is stunning and well worth the effort.

We had a great day out, beginning with a drive along the winding mountain roads and followed by a pleasant hike. We eventually arrived at a tranquil, remote beach with golden sands. We parked just before the village, not realising that there was ample parking at the start, but to get there we had to drive down a dirt road. The hike was nice, although we did take a wrong turn and had to climb up the valley, making it a bit more challenging. With the right gear and fitness, the beach can be reached in an hour and a half, although it's best to allow two hours if it's hot. Unfortunately, there are no drinks or food available on the beach, but there is a little house that sells lemonade and there was a water pipe on the beach that campers used for drinking water. It's important to be aware of the tides and to research the times of the tide before setting off, as the second and third beaches, which are even

Great beach to relax and unwind. It's the best beach of the whole island, boasting soft sand and gentle waves. Plus, there's the added bonus of avoiding the crowds due to the two-hour hike it takes to get there. Make sure to bring enough water and a tent if you plan to stay the night - you won't be disappointed! Those who say they were underwhelmed by this beach are clearly missing out. Don't miss this incredible spot!
