Although it may not be ideal for swimming, the beach is still a wonderful spot to visit. The water is usually very calm, making it a great place to relax. Despite this, it is definitely worth checking out.

4 Frustrating

This beach is extremely hazardous due to strong undercurrents that almost caused me to lose my life. It's also impossible to walk on the scorching hot black sand without shoes. Overall, there are much better beaches to visit on Lanzarote.

The beach can be reached by car through an unpaved road, but parking is limited. It's a small beach with black lava sand that is not maintained by any authority. Unfortunately, flotsam, particularly plastic, is not cleared out by the authorities, so you might have to take care of it yourself. The beach is also the starting point for a breathtaking hiking trail that spans about 12km from Timanfaya to El Golfo, along the cliffs.
