While not the most exceptional beach on the island of Corfu, it still holds its own charm and provides a pleasant experience. The beach is dotted with lively beach bars and restaurants that offer a package of two sunbeds and an umbrella for a reasonable €10, with some even throwing in two complimentary drinks or beers. However, parking can be a bit of a nightmare, so it's best to try and find a spot on the roadside before reaching the three-way crossing. The beach itself offers a mix of sandy and rocky areas, catering to a variety of preferences.
Having breakfast right on the beach is priceless! While it may not be the most luxurious or extravagant hotel, the staff are incredibly friendly and the location is superb—just a short walk to the main town and literally steps away from the beach. I couldn't find any faults with the hotel itself, but Benitses as a whole could use some footpaths since the main road through town is quite busy. If I return to Corfu, I would definitely stay here again.
I might have overlooked this place if it hadn't been recommended by some locals. This mostly seafood-focused taverna is a hidden gem, renowned across the Ionian Sea for its fantastic stuffed calamari. We easily got a table at sunset, right on the seafront edge. The dishes were incredible, fresh, and bursting with authentic flavors from the mussels, calamari, and the most succulent grilled pork chop. If it weren't our last day, we would definitely be back tomorrow.
The island boasts of a sprawling coastline, with one of the longest beaches in the region. The breathtaking vistas of the sea are simply mesmerizing, and there are plenty of serene spots to unwind without feeling cramped or hemmed in by crowds. Whether you're driving or riding a scooter, getting to this beach is a breeze. However, it's important to note that the lack of proximity to the village means that the amenities and services may not be top-notch. It's advisable to bring your own umbrella, as the available space is limited.
This beach offers a delightful experience with its soft sand and shallow waters, making it an ideal spot for families with kids. Even though the hotels are located right on the beach, there are still plenty of sun beds available, especially if you visit in the evening. The surrounding scenery is breathtaking, with lush vegetation, colorful flowers, and rocky landscapes that blend seamlessly with the hotels' architecture. Overall, this beach is a picturesque and relaxing destination that is sure to please visitors of all ages.
This stretch of coastline boasts a seemingly endless expanse of soft, inviting sand. For those seeking a bit of added comfort, sunbeds are on offer at a reasonable rate ranging from 20-50€. However, if you choose to bring your own gear, there's plenty of space to spread out and soak up the sun. It's worth noting that parking comes at a small fee of 5€, but the convenience is well worth it. Overall, this beach is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a relaxing day by the sea.
