Latest reviews on Hok Tsui Village's beaches

Repulse Bay Beach
10 Giles Martin

There's a lovely restaurant close by the beach. I visited on weekdays, so it wasn't as busy. The view and the sand were absolutely delightful.

Shek O Beach

The beach is a serene and peaceful spot, perfect for a relaxing day out with family and friends. It offers great opportunities for barbecuing, swimming, and lounging under rented chairs and umbrellas. The nearby restaurants serve delicious food, making it a complete package for a fun-filled day. However, it's advisable not to bring your own car as parking spaces are scarce and hard to find. Instead, opt for an Uber ride from Shau Kei Wan for a hassle-free experience.

Turtle Cove Beach
4 Larissa Jovales

Turtle Cove can be easily accessed from Chaiwan by minibus or the Number 14 bus from Grand Promenade at Sai Wan Ho. It is a small and very quiet beach with a great view of the open ocean, sky, and mountains in the background. It is perfect for swimming and feels like a private beach. The only downside is that you have to walk about 150 meters down from the main road Tai Tam Road near Red Hill to reach it. However, once you make your way back up to the main road, you have the option to explore the trails of Tai Tam Reservoir at the south entrance or visit the Tai Tam Bay pier. It is definitely worth spending half a day here. This review was written on June 24, 2022.

South Bay Beach
10 Lorin Mace

This beach in Hong Kong is considered one of the finest. It offers a peaceful atmosphere with minimal crowds, along with the presence of lifeguards, a shark net, convenient restroom facilities, and even a bistro. It is highly recommended to visit during weekdays or in the mornings.

Big Wave Bay Beach
10 Lian Mei

This is hands down the best beach in all of Hong Kong. Make sure not to miss out on the hiking trail that leads up to the top of the viewpoint!

St. Stephen's Beach

There are multiple beaches close to Stanley Village, one of which is St. Stephen's Beach situated along Wing Ma Kok Road, approximately a 10-minute walk south of the popular Stanley Market. Although the beach is not as long as the Main Beach, it does offer essential amenities such as public toilets, changing rooms, BBQ pits, two lifeguard stations, and a water sports center. The sand and swimming conditions at St. Stephen's Beach are of good quality. While there are a few trees on the beach, there is limited shade available. In general, it serves as a pleasant alternative for those seeking a more intimate and secluded beach experience, in contrast to the Main Beach located closer to the main village.
