It's a refreshing change from the beaches in Recife, which are notorious for their high shark population. The sea is tranquil and the water has a pleasant hue, perhaps due to the presence of sea vegetation.

It's definitely one of the top beaches I've ever visited!

The so-called "beach" is somewhat tidy, but don't expect to sink your toes into a vast expanse of sand. As for sustenance, you'll have a slim pickings when it comes to dining and imbibing.

Excelente praia, com áreas de banheiros separadas da praia de Boa Viagem. A paisagem é deslumbrante, com vista para a ilha de Itamaracá e as praias da Paraíba. Além disso, está bem próxima de Maria Farinha, com fácil acesso por uma linha de ônibus e estacionamento gratuito. Há também várias opções de bares. Tudo isso é ainda melhor quando a maré está baixa.
