Latest reviews on Ribera's beaches

Lido Sovareto beach
8 Andrea Rossi.

The sandy beach is well-maintained and boasts a pristine appearance. Visiting in late June provides a delightful experience as it is not overcrowded. On the western end, there is poultice clay to explore. The sea is clean and refreshing, and although some seaweed is present in the afternoon, it does not pose any inconvenience.

Bovo Marina

While it's a decent beach, it's not exactly one of the top spots on the island. Despite that, there are a variety of bars to choose from and it's not overly crowded. However, when we visited, the water wasn't as crystal clear as we had hoped. On the plus side, we enjoyed a pleasant 25-minute walk to the nearby Torre Salsa.

Spiaggia Di Eraclea Minoa

Without a doubt, Heraclea is my favorite beach spot. It's much quieter than the crowded camper's side, which is definitely not enjoyable. However, Heraclea offers clear and refreshing water, a secluded nude beach, and a gay-friendly beach. The stunning mountain views are also a bonus, surpassing even the beautiful formations of crystals and salt at Scala di Turchi. While you do need to bring your own supplies, it's a small price to pay for the peace and tranquility you'll experience without being surrounded by obnoxious campers.

Tonnara beach

Tonnara is a lovely sandy beach located in the city, offering shallow water that is perfect for young children. Venturing out deeper into the water can be challenging due to the presence of rocks. The beach bar is outstanding, serving a wide range of beverages, cocktails, and delicious paninis. The staff there is incredibly friendly, making it a highly recommended spot.

Spiaggia Cannicella

This serene beach has a tranquil atmosphere with minimal visitors and a vast expanse of soft, powdery sand. The natural beauty of the surroundings is simply breathtaking.
