Latest reviews on Sheringham's beaches

Weybourne Beach
8 Alden Embry

Lovely serene shoreline. Pebbles instead of sand, yet ideal for a leisurely stroll along the northern Norfolk coastal trail. It's important to note the presence of numerous fishermen on the beach, so it's advisable to keep a close watch on your dog. The current can be quite powerful in this area. There is a paid parking lot available, along with a small restroom facility if required.

West Runton Beach

We went to the beach during sunset and when the tide was low. It's a beautiful place to take a stroll with its cliffs and rocks that add to its picturesque views.

Overstrand Beach

The beach offers a breathtaking backdrop of towering cliffs and offers easy access to the coastal path. It's an ideal spot for swimming, but be sure to check the tide schedules online. When the tide is in, you can wade out up to your waist and enjoy the sandy underfoot. However, navigating the pebbles can be tricky, so it's best to wear beach shoes. While there are man-made structures on the beach to prevent further cliff erosion, there are still plenty of spaces to get to the water's edge. It's important to note that there is no lifeguard on duty, so always follow safety codes when swimming. For families with young children, Cromer may be a better option as there are only a few shops and stunning scenery at the top of a steep incline. The base of the cliffs is not a safe area for picnics or playtime due to frequent collapses. The coastline is dynamic and should be admired from a safe distance.

This delightful beach and town have become one of my go-to destinations along the coast. The serene ambiance and endless activities make it an ideal spot for a relaxing getaway.
