Charlestown - all beaches

This was my first visit here. After reading reviews, I decided to try a new beach. However, there's only one road leading in, which gets heavily congested. We waited in line for over an hour and arrived at the front gate parking area at 10:20, only to be told by a rather unpleasant police officer that we had to turn around because he had just let the last car in. We explained that we weren't from the area and asked for a quick recommendation for other beaches since we had driven over an hour, but he wasn't helpful. We turned around and went the opposite way of what he suggested and found Captain Jack's parking lot, which charged $20 for the day and was only a 0.5-mile walk from the beach. The beach itself is beautiful, perfect for those who love waves and swimming. The bathhouses and bathroom area were clean, and the pavilion area offers Del's Lemonade. If you enjoy fishing, this is a great spot, as many people were walking down the rocks. The ocean floor had soft sand and wasn't filled with shells or rocks, just a bit of seaweed but still beautiful. Make sure to check the hours of operation for the bathhouses as they do close. Definitely plan to arrive early to avoid the lot being full—around 8 AM for the 8:30 AM opening.

Yet another idyllic day spent at Misquamicut beach. The inviting waters remain pleasantly warm, and the waves are ideal for thrilling rides. With summer still lingering, make sure to seize the remaining opportunities for unforgettable beach experiences in 2022!

This beach located on the historic coast of Rhode Island is a true gem. With its diverse range of features, it offers something for everyone. From excellent facilities to soft sand and rugged rocky shorelines, this beach has it all. Additionally, the beachside trail and the ruins add a unique touch to the already picturesque scenery. It is the ideal spot to unwind and bask in the beauty of the Atlantic Ocean.

This place near Matunuck Beach on the Bay is really nice. We had a great time hanging out with friends and the seafood restaurants in the area are fantastic. We're planning to come back in August.

This location is stunning. I had hoped to witness the sunset from the bridge before the beach, but unfortunately, the clouds obstructed the view. Despite this, the beach was a sight to behold. There were many visitors with their jeeps and SUVs, and a group of people gathered around a lit fire pit while others enjoyed a picnic. Overall, this was one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever visited. I've included some pictures of the bridge where the sunset can be seen at its finest.
