The boardwalk at Myrtle Beach is a hub of activity, offering a plethora of options for visitors to indulge in. While the beach lies on one side, the other side is packed with a variety of stores, restaurants, and entertainment options. The sheer abundance of things to do can be overwhelming, making it impossible to experience everything in a single trip. Even a leisurely stroll or jog along the boardwalk is an enjoyable experience in itself.
We went to the beach during the day and had a pleasant time on the pier. Along the entire length of the pier, there were umbrellas and benches, as well as people fishing. At the end of the pier, there was a bar or something similar with a covered patio that had tables and chairs. We noticed a lot of jellyfish in the water and even spotted a couple of sharks! It seems that sharks are often seen near the pier. The breeze up there was refreshing, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit while simply exploring the surroundings.
This place is absolutely amazing! The views in every direction are absolutely stunning, making it a perfect spot to get away from it all. It has a more relaxed atmosphere compared to other beaches, partly because of its smaller parking lot. Some people might argue that the parking lot should be bigger, but that's actually what makes this place so unique. It helps to keep the crowds down, although you do need to arrive early to secure a parking spot. The charm of this location is unmatched, and it offers a quaint and peaceful ambiance, along with friendly locals and the iconic Lowcountry marsh. Without a doubt, one of my favorite destinations in the area. If you decide to visit, please remember to leave no trace and help preserve the specialness of this spot! — Carson
Upon my visit to the beach in 2021, I encountered some obstacles that hindered my experience. Unfortunately, the ramp onto 2nd street had been damaged by hurricane Ian, causing it to be closed for repairs. As a result, parking was limited and overcrowded, making it difficult for me to find a spot. To my dismay, I was unable to access my car due to the close proximity of other vehicles. Despite these setbacks, I still managed to enjoy the natural beauty of the beach and its surroundings.
I didn't have a chance to stop, as I was only passing through the area for work. However, based on what I saw, Debordieu Beach Club appears to be absolutely amazing! The whole vicinity is quite pleasant!
What a stunning seaside spot! The sand is so exquisite and delicate, unlike the rough grains of Myrtle. And let's talk about the shells - we stumbled upon a whole new collection that we've never seen at Myrtle. As if that wasn't enough, we had the pleasure of observing an alligator in its natural habitat. Talk about a wild experience! But that's not all - we also spotted a Painted Bunting up close and personal. What a gorgeous creature! This beach truly has it all.
