Latest reviews on Lake Maggiore's beaches

Spiaggia di Porto Valtravaglia
8 edwardsoni

The municipal beach is well-maintained and has reported sand. It also has a nearby playground that is convenient if you have small children. The water is clean and there is even a floating platform with slides.

Bagno Pubblico Ascona
10 Cameron Ross

This beach offers both shaded and sunny spots. There's a pontoon in the swimming area, and a bar with refreshments, ice cream, and hot food.

Spiaggia di Reno
8 Avery Mitchell

The lake has a lot of stones, so it's a good idea to wear water shoes if you plan on swimming. In June, from around 4 to 8 p.m., there tends to be strong winds and heavy rain in the afternoon. Make sure you're back home before then.

Lido di Cannobio
10 Zephyr

This beach is spotless and full of life! There's a supermarket and a promenade nearby.

Small but beautiful

Lido Baveno

While visiting Lake Maggiore, we happened upon this charming spot. It’s a true gem, featuring a private beach and small boats available for rent. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The drinks are both affordable and delightful, and we were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary tapas served at 6pm. The DJ enhanced the experience with a mix of dance and 80's music. It's difficult not to enjoy this place, even if you're just stopping by for a quick drink. I highly recommend it. Plus, it's dog-friendly!
