Latest reviews on Zurich Lake's beaches

Mythenquai Beach
10 Maxwell Andersson

This is an amazing spot for a refreshing swim. The lush flora and fauna, including stunning flowers and trees, add to the beauty of the place. There are also numerous games to keep you entertained. Additionally, the entire area is impeccably clean.

Seebad Rapperswil beach
10 Stefan Daxon

This beach is definitely the best within a 20km radius. It features beautiful wooden piers, a great bistro/bar, colorful umbrellas, and is very well-maintained.

Strandbad Kusnacht
10 Evan Hartwell

This beach is a fantastic spot for swimming in the lake. Just be aware that the sand only goes up to the waterline, so you'll be walking on pebbles to reach deeper water. However, the diving boards and platforms near the shore make it worth it. There's also a nice restaurant on site. The small admission fee is definitely worth it. Just a heads up, parking is extremely limited so it's best to arrive early to secure a spot.

Strandbad Wollishofen
10 Scotty Max

One of the top spots in Zürich for swimming in the lake. The water is shallow and perfect for families and older individuals. There is a charming bistro with a great atmosphere, and a large old tree providing plenty of shade for visitors.

Strandbad Kapfnach
10 Raja

There are two areas: one is free of charge, and the other is a paid outdoor swimming area with a kiosk/Bistro. The latter hasn't opened for the season yet. The first area is essentially a public park by the lake. It's small, but you can come and go as you please. I prefer this freedom.

Seebad Kilchberg
10 Marvin Rivers

This beach is a wonderful destination that offers everything you could possibly desire. It features separate pools for adults and children, a conveniently located lake, a playground, and even a Hiltl restaurant. The infrastructure is impressively modern and impeccably clean. Additionally, the entry fee for adults is quite affordable at CHF 4. However, it's worth noting that the beach can become quite crowded on sunny summer days.
