The view is stunning, but there is no actual beach area, only enough room for two small groups. Cars frequently pass by very close to the beach, within a distance of 2 meters. The water is extremely cold, especially in mid-August, making it unsuitable for swimming.
This lake is absolutely amazing! I've visited multiple times and I can't wait to go back again. The range of water activities available will keep you entertained, and there are also several floating docks where you can just unwind and relax. If you ever get the opportunity, I highly recommend visiting this place. The admission fee is only €7 (€5 after 13:00)!
The place is clean and offers a beautiful panoramic view, but it was extremely crowded when we visited, leaving us with nowhere to sit :/. It must be really nice on less crowded days!
We spent a couple of weeks camping at "Apple Glade," a charming little field with a shady tree. The campsite had convenient access to the lake, great bathroom facilities, and a shop with a bakery and ice cream. It had all the essentials we needed as a home base for exploring the Salzburg area. Truly a paradise.
Visited this beach for the second time in a year and found that not much has changed. The lady at the reception was very helpful and accommodating. Just a heads up, showers require a 50 cent payment, so make sure to have some coins on hand.
We stayed in a charming little house and absolutely loved it! It was clean, had a lovely bathroom, and was conveniently close to the lake. The location is perfect for exploring all of Wolfgangsee. A few more kitchen items would be helpful, but we appreciated the tea towels and toilet paper provided. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday there.
