This review pertains to a cozy 38sqm apartment located right by the water, making it an unbeatable spot. The apartment itself is modestly furnished, yet it includes all the essentials such as a dishwasher and washing machine. No need to pack a lot of clothes, as the closet and chest of drawers are already half full.
Unfortunately, the landlords who reside on the ground floor of the building can be a bit challenging. Upon our arrival, we unknowingly wandered around the property until the lady of the house called out to us. Despite our attempts at a friendly greeting, we were led into the apartment with minimal communication. The next morning, the landlord appeared at our door, speaking in a language we couldn't understand. He pointed out a light that had been left on all night, then left without further explanation. While it's understandable to address such issues, the manner in which it was done felt unwelcoming.
Language barriers became a recurring issue during our stay. Although the booking website listed multiple languages spoken by the hosts, communication was limited. It wasn't until two days later that we discovered the daughter of the house could speak English. This leads us to the topic of air conditioning, which came with a set of strict rules posted near the unit. While the emphasis on energy conservation is commendable, the restrictions on usage made it inconvenient for guests.
Our interaction with the daughter of the house highlighted the strict enforcement of rules. After being reminded to only use the air conditioning with the door closed, we were met with disapproving looks when the balcony door was briefly left open. Subsequent encounters with the family were devoid of greetings or conversation, culminating in a terse message on the day of our departure demanding we vacate the premises promptly.
If you're seeking a vacation spot where you feel constantly monitored and unwelcome, this may be the place for you.
