The beach at Kalifteri is located 500 meters from the center of Afissos, towards Volos. It is a popular spot, especially during the weekends and peak season from June to September. The water is not too cold starting from April, making it perfect for swimming. Situated within the Pagasitikos Gulf, the beach is usually calm like a lake, making it safe for children to swim without worrying about jellyfish. Additionally, you can enjoy watching the sunset from Kalifteri beach. The water is crystal clear and clean, but it may not be ideal for wind surfers due to the lack of strong winds.
