Meliá Braco Beach

I absolutely adored this destination. The Friday night street dance/party was an absolute blast. The celebration of nearly every aspect of our Jamaican culture was truly delightful. I adored the beach, it was incredibly cozy and peaceful - in fact, the entire location was serene and perfect for unwinding. The adventure park was also fantastic, I couldn't stop laughing at the people taking on the challenges (in a good way). The food was delicious, although the options were somewhat limited in comparison. The staff was welcoming and attentive, especially Mika from the Market Place. They showed a genuine interest in the guests from the moment they arrived until they left. I didn't have the chance to try all the restaurants, but 876 Prime was exceptional. The decor was stunning and the professionalism was top-notch. I would highly recommend this destination to anyone looking for a romantic getaway and some relaxation. Cheers to you all! I have to rate this establishment with 3 stars overall. There are certain employees who deserve 5 stars for their exceptional friendliness and helpfulness. However, some staff members did not meet expectations. We had made reservations at the 876 Prime Steak House, only to be informed that they had run out of steaks. After being asked to choose another option, we selected the catch of the day, but ended up waiting for an hour and 15 minutes before deciding to return to our room and order room service. The property is stunning, and I appreciate the layout of the cottages, which creates a cozy and private atmosphere. While the beach is a bit rocky, it is still quite impressive. The staff appears to work long and exhausting hours, which left me feeling sympathetic towards them. I hope that the new manager will learn to value and respect his team, as they are essential to the success of the establishment. Live entertainment is provided every night, which has been quite enjoyable. I want to be honest in my assessment, as there are employees who truly go above and beyond. I understand that service delays may be due to the resort not having enough resources. The management and their team play a crucial role in setting the atmosphere of a place, and when that is lacking, it is noticeable. I would consider giving this place another chance in the future, in case this was just an off week.

Plenty of attentive personnel and a wide range of activities available if desired. The beachfront is meticulously maintained. The cuisine is on a well-rounded rotation. There are numerous dining options to select from. The accommodations are spotless and the staff is diligent with housekeeping. The room service is quite prompt. They host various vendors selling local art and offer delightful nightly entertainment. Two aspects we would consider changing or enhancing: 1. The shower nozzles are oddly positioned and do not appear to function properly, or at least ours did not. 2. Additionally, the consistency of staff attitudes could be improved. While many staff members were exceptionally helpful and friendly, some individuals, particularly in sales and administrative roles, were not as welcoming. They assisted us, but we felt as though we were inconveniencing them. Nevertheless, overall, we had a fantastic experience and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
