Let's start with discussing the village of Yurkino, which is a small village located on the shores of the Azov Sea, approximately 20 km away from the city of Kerch. In order to reach Kerch, you can either use personal transportation or take a bus, which operates five round-trip flights per day, although it tends to be quite crowded. Alternatively, you can opt for a taxi, which costs around 450-500 rubles for a one-way trip. Within Yurkino itself, there are only two stores that offer essential items. Unfortunately, if you are looking for fruits and sweets, you won't find a wide variety here. Additionally, there is no pharmacy available in Yurkino. If you or your children have any health issues, you will need to go to Kerch to access medication. It's worth noting that even our boarding house lacks basic medical supplies such as a thermometer.
Moving on to the beach in Yurkino, it is truly wonderful. The water is quite shallow and the sand is soft, with a shell-like texture. Children particularly enjoy it. The only downside is the presence of jellyfish, but this is a common issue and not exclusive to this beach. Unlike other beaches, Yurkino beach does not offer any entertainment options such as trampolines or catamarans. However, it is not as crowded as beaches in Sudak, Golubitskaya, or Lermontovo.
The Sunny Beach boarding house is conveniently located just 2 minutes away from the beach, making it the closest guest house in Yurkino. The area is well-maintained and includes a children's playground. The administrator, Valentina, is friendly, attentive, and strives to ensure everyone's satisfaction. Accommodation at the boarding house includes three meals a day in the dining room. The food is decent without any extravagant elements, but it is still edible. There are usually 2-3 dishes to choose from, and if you want more, you can request additional servings. Moreover, tea, coffee, and sugar are always available next to the kettle and thermal pot, allowing you to help yourself when the canteen workers are not around. The cost for a two-room suite with all amenities and three meals a day for two adults, a teenager, and a 6-year-old child is 6 thousand rubles per day. It's worth mentioning that this guest house is frequented by repeat visitors who come here with their children multiple times.
