The beach was a delight on the 22nd of December. The temperature was a comfortable 22 degrees Celsius and the water was a bit on the chilly side at 20 degrees, but still enjoyable. It was almost deserted, with only the occasional walker passing by.

This spot was a great experience! There was a mix of nude and clothed beachgoers when we visited, with more nude people than clothed. There were plenty of stone circles, and only a few people around in mid-August. The tide coming in provided a great opportunity for snorkeling, with plenty of fish to see. There was a park nearby, close to the road.

This location is simply stunning! A delightful blend of clothed and unclothed people, the lagoon is a fantastic spot for swimming during mid to high tide. Snorkeling here is a real treat - I spotted parrot fish, puffer fish, mullet, and flat fish. The highlight of my experience was a stingray swimming beneath me - it was truly incredible!

El Cotillo is a tranquil village which boasts an exquisite beach. Despite its rocky shoreline, access to the ocean is relatively easy in some parts of the beach. It is comprised of two or three small sandy coves, sand dunes with the characteristic Canarian rock wind shelters, and a rocky area with the warm lagoons that this region is renowned for. At the end of the shoreline is the lighthouse, with a café and museum. Unfortunately, the female attendant at the museum and café is very rude and her attitude worsens with every visit. The views of the beach are breathtaking and it is an ideal place for bird watching. This beach is a true gem, but please remember to take all your rubbish and cigarette ends home to ensure it remains unspoilt.
