3 Poor

The place where people go to get sand in their shoes, sunburn on their skin, and a healthy dose of disappointment in their hearts. Praia da Batata is no exception. Sure, there's a spring there. But let's be real, it's not like that's a rare occurrence. And who cares about a spring when you're surrounded by screaming children, littered sand, and overpriced beach umbrellas? Save your time and money, and skip this lackluster beach altogether.

5 Tolerable

This stunning beach offers an unparalleled connection with the natural world. However, the unfortunate reality is that the relentless pursuit of profit has led to rampant urbanization and human encroachment, spelling the end for yet another slice of paradise nestled along the verdant coast between the mountains and the sea, bordered by the historic RFFSA railway tracks that stretch between Muriqui and Praia Grande. While everyone may currently have access to this idyllic spot, it's only a matter of time before it becomes the exclusive domain of a privileged few.
