We had such an incredible time at this stunning house! Greg, the host, was extremely helpful and his knowledge of the island made our trip even more enjoyable. The location was fantastic, with a practically private beach just steps away from the front door. Grocery stores were conveniently located just a 2-minute drive away, and Esparanza was only about a 10-minute drive. We will definitely return in the future.
You can't fully appreciate the beauty of this tree from pictures alone. It was truly awe-inspiring, and we were even lucky enough to have wild horses pay us a visit.
Without a doubt, this was the most beloved beach on Vieques. The water was so transparent, the sand felt like silk, and there was hardly any seaweed in sight. The water was invigorating and quite tranquil. To access this beach, you must pass through the National Wildlife Refuge, but keep in mind that there are no palm trees to provide shade on the beach.
This island gem is an absolute must-visit destination. We ventured down the rugged path to discover a tranquil and secluded spot. As the sun set, we were treated to a stunning display of colors, followed by an unexpected spectacle of fireflies. However, as dusk approached, the beach became a haven for bugs. Nevertheless, the sheer beauty of the beach made the bumpy journey on a scooter worth it.
Yet another gem amongst the plethora of beaches on VQS! The drive to this beach may be a bit rocky, and the hike may be a tad treacherous, but hey, who needs an easy path to paradise? The effort is definitely worth it, as you'll find yourself basking in hours of solitude on this serene shore. It's no wonder why some folks shy away from this hidden gem - they just can't handle the heat!
This stunning beach is conveniently accessible via a smooth paved road, making it a breeze to arrive on a scooter. However, be sure to bring all your necessities as there are no food vendors or seating options, and only a handful of shaded areas. The tranquil turquoise waters are ideal for a refreshing dip, but may be a bit too cool for those accustomed to Caribbean temperatures. The soft, powdery white sand is a delight to walk on and adds to the overall serene atmosphere. During my visit on a sunny Monday, the beach was blissfully uncrowded, allowing for a truly peaceful experience. It's a destination you won't want to miss.
