We had an amazing time at Tanu Beach Fales! The fales offer breathtaking views of the crystal clear ocean, resembling a mirror, and you can even swim with fish and turtles at the reef right outside your doorstep. The meals, both breakfast and dinner, were absolutely delicious and homemade. In the morning, we enjoyed coffee, and at night, we had refreshing lemon tea. The fales are equipped with comfortable mattresses and mosquito nets, allowing us to sleep in the open air and enjoy the beautiful breeze for an afternoon nap and throughout the night. The bathrooms may be basic, but when you come to Manase, your main focus is swimming, eating, napping, and relaxing! The staff at Tanu Beach Fales are incredibly welcoming and friendly, making you feel like you belong there. We are truly grateful! Our stay was in November 2022.
We enjoyed a delightful dinner at this establishment, with the gentle sound of the waves reaching the dining space. It was incredibly serene. The cuisine was excellent, the staff was welcoming, and the service was top-notch. The proprietors were amiable and well-informed about the island and its attractions. The setting is absolutely breathtaking. We will certainly return in the future.
If you're looking for a revitalizing swim, don't miss out on the Asaga freshwater pool. Head towards the rear of the pool and submerge yourself in the spring's center. However, brace yourself as it's quite chilly. Despite the temperature, it's a must-visit on a scorching day. Admission is $5tala per person, and there's a beach fale located opposite the pool, with fees charged by falesamoa. Remember to bring cash as there are no nearby eftpos or ATMs. The freshwater pool is open Monday through Saturday.
The entrance to this beach is so discreet that you might miss it if you blink. However, once you discover it, you won't want to leave anytime soon.
