The beach at Mero has experienced notable changes as a result of hurricanes and the disappearance of the jetty and nearby hotel. Additionally, the beach features gray sand.
The food at the beach was delicious, but the service was quite laid-back. We had to call the server over a few times, but she was friendly and helpful when she was with us. Unfortunately, they were out of a few items I wanted to order, and it turned out the food truck didn't make the delivery. Despite these minor issues, I plan on returning to the beach. It's important to keep in mind that the concept of time here is different from what we're used to in the US. We tend to be in a rush, but sometimes it's good to take it easy and slow down.
There is a fantastic beach bar and restaurant located next to the Indian River in Portsmouth, Dominica. The space is large with open air and sea breezes, offering beautiful views. The food and service are top-notch, with Cherry and her staff always providing a friendly smile. They have a full bar with cold beers and great music. The location is convenient, near the mini-van station for affordable transportation to Roseau and Calibishie. Additionally, they offer free WiFi. Be sure to visit and mention that David from New Orleans recommended it!
We only had dinner at that beach, but it was definitely one of the best on Dominica! They serve delicious lobster, octopus, pasta, and great wine. It's a lovely spot to enjoy a meal, drinks, and the evening. I highly recommend it!
A great spot to spend time with loved ones, the beach boasts brown sand that adds to its charm.
The serene and tranquil atmosphere of this beach is truly unparalleled, making it my top choice for a peaceful getaway. Its natural beauty and unspoiled surroundings create a sense of calm and relaxation that is hard to find elsewhere. This beach is truly a hidden gem, and I feel privileged to have experienced its serene ambiance.
