In the 1980s, this beach was popular among surfers and bodyboarders due to its coconut trees and black sand. However, it is now deserted, contaminated, and not suitable for swimming. It is situated near the port and has direct access to the "treated" waters from Cavibel company and other sewage systems.

Nos anos 80, a praia tinha coqueiros e areia preta, sendo muito frequentada e utilizada por surfistas e praticantes de bodyboard. No entanto, atualmente está abandonada e poluída, não sendo recomendada para banho. Além de estar localizada próxima ao porto, a praia tem ligação direta com as águas "tratadas" da empresa Cavibel e outras redes de esgoto a céu aberto.
