This location is perfect for surfers and beginners looking to learn the sport. However, it may not be the best choice for those who prefer swimming. The sand is a beautiful golden color and there are knowledgeable guides stationed every few meters who are friendly and experienced.

This beach is the perfect spot for beginners to learn how to surf, with a long stretch of shoreline that offers decent waves. However, it can get pretty crowded, but there are plenty of surf schools around. If you're looking for a good instructor, I recommend Kavinda or Lion for novice surfers. On the downside, it's worth noting that the city's sewer system empties directly into the sea near the surfing areas.

This beach is a great spot for surfing and swimming. The water is shallow, and for about 100 meters from the shore, the depth is less than 5 feet. It's best to avoid the monsoon season, as the sea can get quite rough. Luckily, there are places to rent surfing boards and even trainers available.
