Oh, the joys of a pebble beach nestled in a small cove! The trek down from the main road is a real workout, especially in the sweltering heat. But fear not, dear traveler, for the reward is well worth the effort. We had the whole place to ourselves in the morning, but by noon it was a veritable circus of people arriving by foot and boat. Who knew this hidden gem was so accessible? The beach itself was spotless, though shade was nowhere to be found. And if you're feeling adventurous, take a stroll or swim over to the red rocks in the bay. Just be sure to bring your sunscreen and a sense of adventure!

The beach features a stunning cove with glistening white pebbles, but the beauty is marred by the overwhelming amount of filth scattered around. The constant presence of boats only adds to the chaos, making it impossible to appreciate the natural surroundings and find any sense of peace. It's a shame that this once idyllic spot has been reduced to a noisy, polluted mess.

This charming beach is truly a hidden gem that is well worth the 20-minute hike, but if you prefer to take a boat, you won't be disappointed either. Our visit in mid-August at 1 pm was met with only a couple of boats and a few couples enjoying the serene surroundings. If you're a strong swimmer, you can even venture out to Red Rocks. Overall, this beach is a must-visit for anyone seeking a peaceful and picturesque escape.

This petite beach is a true gem, earning a five-star rating for its secluded paradise-like atmosphere. While it may be a tad challenging to access from the mainland, particularly during the sweltering August heat, the journey is well worth it. To reach this hidden oasis from Hvar, simply take the dirt road and turn towards the sea at the third bend. After parking, take a leisurely stroll down to the shore. During our visit in mid-August, we were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves alone at first, with only a handful of boats stopping by throughout the day. The water here is a stunning shade of green, and crystal clear.

Frequently referred to as Beach Zarace, which can be misleading, since the village of Zarace is closer to Hvar and has its own beaches. Our journey to this beach was smooth and effortless, as we drove there without any issues. To reach this stunning location, we took the Cazmatrans bus from the city of Hvar, which cost 19 kuna per person for a one-way ticket. We alighted at Dubovica and then made our way to Piscena beach by following the trail of St. Nedjejla. The trail was mostly flat, except for the descent to Dubovica beach, and took us approximately 35 minutes to traverse. It is imperative to bring at least 2 liters of water per person! Piscena beach is a hidden gem, and we visited it on August 11, 2020. Initially, there were 13 other people there with us, but eventually, we had the entire beach to ourselves. You can also follow the trail further towards sv Nedjejla and catch a glimpse of the Red Rocks from the mountains, which is only a five-minute walk away. Without a doubt, this is the finest beach on Hvar!
