Frequently referred to as Beach Zarace, which can be misleading, since the village of Zarace is closer to Hvar and has its own beaches. Our journey to this beach was smooth and effortless, as we drove there without any issues. To reach this stunning location, we took the Cazmatrans bus from the city of Hvar, which cost 19 kuna per person for a one-way ticket. We alighted at Dubovica and then made our way to Piscena beach by following the trail of St. Nedjejla. The trail was mostly flat, except for the descent to Dubovica beach, and took us approximately 35 minutes to traverse. It is imperative to bring at least 2 liters of water per person!
Piscena beach is a hidden gem, and we visited it on August 11, 2020. Initially, there were 13 other people there with us, but eventually, we had the entire beach to ourselves. You can also follow the trail further towards sv Nedjejla and catch a glimpse of the Red Rocks from the mountains, which is only a five-minute walk away. Without a doubt, this is the finest beach on Hvar!
