Samograd Bay

This hidden gem of a beach is simply breathtaking, but it's important to remember to take your own rubbish with you. As a completely undeveloped area, there are no toilets, no bins, and no cafes, so it's crucial to treat this natural wonder with the utmost respect. If you're up for an adventure, the only way to reach this secluded paradise is via a bumpy dirt track followed by a short hike through the wilderness. But trust us, the effort is well worth it. Once you arrive, the crystal-clear waters are perfect for snorkelling and exploring the vibrant marine life. However, it's disheartening to see the amount of litter that some careless visitors have left behind. In fact, during my visit, I filled an entire bin bag with rubbish that I found scattered around the beach. While some of it may have been washed up by the sea, it was clear that much of it had been left behind by thoughtless tourists. If we all took responsibility for our own waste and made an effort to leave the beach cleaner than we found it, this stunning location would remain spotless and pristine for generations to come.

Having been to Croatia for two decades, I can confidently say that this beach is one of the top three I have had the pleasure of experiencing. Though the road leading to it may be a bit rough, it is navigable with any vehicle. A mere five-minute stroll from the parking area brings you to the bay, where I encountered only around thirty other individuals during peak hours. The beach itself is truly idyllic, with small pebbles, crystal-clear water, and a sense of tranquility that is hard to come by. If you find yourself on Korčula, this is an absolute must-visit.

Most stunning beach I have ever visited. The water is crystal clear, almost resembling the picturesque Vaja Bay. However, this beach offers better access to the water and a more serene atmosphere. Without a doubt, it is my top pick for the ultimate beach experience.

The beach is absolutely delightful, with crystal-clear waters and an almost non-existent presence of sea urchins. However, there is a scarcity of natural shade, so it is advisable to bring along some form of protection from the sun.

We stumbled upon the most pristine pebble beach on Korcula, a hidden gem amidst the dozens we've explored. A brief stroll through the lush greenery and olive groves will lead you to this idyllic bay. Although you may encounter a few fellow beach-goers, it's not overly crowded as access is limited to a dirt road, approximately 4 kilometers from Raciste or Kneze, and nearly 10 from Babina. The breathtaking scenery, especially when viewed from the water, is a treat for the adventurous. Don't miss out on the opportunity to bask in the beauty of this stunning location.
