Faros beach

I was extremely disappointed with my recent visit to this beach, and I feel compelled to share my experience for the sake of honesty. Despite the many positive reviews it has received, my own experience was far from enjoyable. First and foremost, I want to highlight a distressing incident that occurred during my time at the beach. I was taken aback by the behavior of a lady who started screaming at a young child. This child, who seemed to be around five years old, was told in no uncertain terms to pick up a piece of litter that had accidentally blown onto the ground. While it's understandable to emphasize the importance of keeping public spaces clean, the way this lady addressed the situation was completely disproportionate. Her loud and aggressive response to what was clearly an innocent accident not only startled the family but also deeply upset the child. Treating children in such a manner is not only inappropriate but also completely uncalled for. Furthermore, it's disheartening to note that this incident was not an isolated one, as it seems to reflect the overall atmosphere at this beach. It's concerning to see that the owners or management of Faros beach seem to tolerate or even support such behavior. A truly customer-oriented establishment should prioritize not only the cleanliness of the premises but also a respectful and welcoming environment for all visitors. Considering this experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend this beach to others. Cyprus offers a multitude of beautiful beaches that provide a much more pleasant and respectful atmosphere. I encourage fellow travelers to explore these alternative options, where they can enjoy the natural beauty of the island without encountering such distressing incidents. In conclusion, despite the glowing reviews this beach has received, my personal experience was tainted by an unfortunate incident and a concerning lack of response from the management. I sincerely hope that these issues are addressed in the future to ensure a more positive experience for all visitors.

The beach lacks proper maintenance and there isn't much happening. The sun loungers are excessively expensive for their quality. I have visited other beaches in Cyprus, and most of them are superior to Faros.

This beach is an incredibly pleasant spot to spend your day! The water is fantastic, the music is enjoyable, the food is good, and the service is exceptional. Maria went above and beyond to ensure we had an outstanding experience, and the busser did the same! An excellent bonus is the nearby waterland, which will bring out your inner child once again 🙃.

We visited this beach every day for two weeks to get takeaway gyros. The gyros were good, but unfortunately, the waiters often made mistakes with our order, even though we ordered the same thing every time. It was especially frustrating because we came twice a day for two weeks. We're not sure why, but it seems like the kitchen doesn't use any order tickets, and the chefs rely on their memory. A simple fix could greatly improve the efficiency of the service. Despite this, the gyros were delicious and the location was perfect, so it didn't bother us too much and we kept coming back. The owner was really nice, but we wish the waiters were more attentive instead of just sitting at the bar smoking while customers waited to be served.
