Easily accessible beach, and even on a hot Sunday with 28° C, we found a spot fairly quickly. The sand is fine and white, but there are some stones and algae that you might need to clear from your spot before sitting down. The beach strip is quite narrow (the photos show the water in front of us and the dune/grass directly behind us). The water is clean and only some algae were floating around. There were no stones where we went into the water for about 20 meters, and the water stayed quite flat. Further out, there were stones and more plants, so we didn‘t go further. Lots of people used stand-up paddle boards. There are toilets and a kiosk at the official parking lot (which is free but was full when we arrived, so we parked somewhere on the Åkrogs Strandvej road, which lots of other people did as well).

Nice and quiet beach, looks private due to the housing nearby but with a public access. Little place for sand with few rocks and shells that decorate the beachside. Cold water although it was a windy day but weak current and very clean

Great beach with bridge for those who don't want to walk 20 meters in child friendly depth. Free parking. Good sand beach without too much rocks or shells.

I enjoyed myself so much in Aarhus, I spent a half day bicycling all along bike path all the way from Sondergade 76 to Akrogen Beach! I did have a couple stop at the peaceful Ndr. Kirkegard wood, could see the beautiful beach from the hill, also possible to see and hear many of little birds chirping. It is a very beautiful charming town all the way along the beach on bike path to the end at Akrogen beach! There is shade has public washrooms too:) You can stop at one of many at these very charming towns and relaxing cycling paths. Please don't forget to stop for the most yummy icecream at okkels Risskov shop. Get your swimsuit ready for the beautiful and relaxing bike and beach day.
