The staff at the beach was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and well-maintained. Our room had a stunning view of the sand and water, which could be enjoyed from the bed or the private outdoor deck. The hotel is situated in Pinarello, a charming village with a single road, a few restaurants, a bakery, and a gift shop. The village felt very safe, and everyone we encountered was pleasant. If you're looking for more shopping and dining options, the larger and more touristy town of Port Vecchio is just a 20-minute drive away.
There are also other activities to do in the area. Tourra di Fautea/Plage di Fautea, which is about a 10-minute drive away, features a cool tower accessible by a walking trail and a lovely secluded beach. Country Horse, also about 10 minutes away, offers scenic guided horseback rides through the countryside and along the beach. Plage de Palombaggia, a 40-minute drive away, is a stunning beach that is definitely worth the trip.
Bonifacio is a medieval town with cobblestone streets, charming cafes, and shops. One of the highlights is the Staircase of the King Aragon, a staircase with around 200 steps leading down from the town to the sea. Once you reach the bottom, you can walk along the cliff path and enjoy the breathtaking views of the turquoise sea.
The Bavella Needles, about a 40-minute drive to the base of the mountain, offer a beautiful drive up Corsica Mountain. With the mountain pass on one side and the forest on the other, this part of the mountain provides stunning panoramas. There are also plenty of opportunities to stop and hike along the way.
