Hana Iti was a stunning beach that offered seclusion. Our rental house provided us with a small boat to reach the beach, and the snorkeling experience was also enjoyable.

The beach is stunning and offers great snorkeling opportunities, and it's typically not too crowded.

The beach boasts a stunning expanse of white sand and is encompassed by towering palm trees. While there are limited shady spots to take refuge from the sun, there is ample free parking and a bathroom/changing area available. A small tube shower is provided for rinsing off sand. The main attraction of this beach is snorkeling, but it's important to note that fins are necessary due to the strong current when swimming towards the reefs. Comfort and moderate swimming abilities are also required to fully enjoy the breathtakingly beautiful fish and coral. Don't forget to bring your underwater camera to capture it all! Best of all, this experience is completely free!

Tamae Beach on Moorea boasts some of the best shore snorkeling in the world, as many have attested. Even for those who are new to snorkeling or have intermediate experience, it is not intimidating or challenging. Floating is really all that is required. To start, head to the north or left side of the beach and walk along the shore as far as possible before kicking out to the coral, which is about 100-200 meters away. The current usually comes from the north and will gently carry you across the reef, providing an opportunity to explore the clear water and vibrant coral gardens teeming with various types of fish. Even novice snorkelers will find this experience easy and enjoyable. While tour boats may charge a premium to take you here, it is easily accessible from the shore. On the south end of the beach, visitors can visit the Sofitel area which offers calm waters and a sandy bottom, perfect for sunbathing and observing other fish.

This beach in Moorea is popular among both tourists and locals, and is considered one of the best. The sand is soft and white, and the reefs are great for snorkeling. It's easy to locate and there's ample parking available. However, there isn't much shade, so it's advisable to bring hats or an umbrella.
