On pleasant days in the summer, the beach can get quite crowded, so it's best to arrive early.

This beach is a hidden gem, located between Travemünde and Boltenhagen, and there's no tourist tax. You'll have to walk a bit from the paid parking lot to the beach, but there's plenty of room for beach shelters and accessories. The walk into the water is rocky at first, but then sandy. The water is warm and shallow until you reach about 25m from the beach, where it's deep enough for swimming. It's recommended to wear aqua shoes if you have delicate soles.

This beach is my absolute favorite - it's like a dream, especially in the winter. It's a natural beach, perfect for dogs to run around off-season. There are small streams that flow into the sea, so the dogs can get a drink. The owner can relax and watch the ferries heading to Travemünde, or collect shells and other flotsam.
