An excellent excursion for the entire family, with the added bonus of being suitable for children as young as five. The Cella Bay hike, starting from the scenic overlook, is a manageable two-mile round trip. The trail can be a bit muddy, but the reward is an opportunity to spend 15-20 minutes exploring the bridge and beach for hidden gems. The entire hike takes just over two hours, with an elevation gain of 480 feet. The trail offers stunning views, a variety of flowers, and even ant nests in the trees. Along the way, you'll come across plenty of coconuts, and eventually arrive at a bridge and beach full of hermit crabs. Mosquitos can be a nuisance, especially after recent rainfall. The final flat area, surrounded by a coconut forest, can be a bit swampy, but the rest of the hike is a slippery clay mess. If you're looking for a quicker and safer hike, try going during dry weather. However, if you're visiting in early January, the weather is perfect. Overall, the Cella Bay hike is a must-see attraction when visiting Guam.
