Laigueglia is a destination that never disappoints, even during the off-season. Its pristine sandy beach is a haven for tourists, especially during winter when the sun is out. The beach is surrounded by numerous bars and clubs that offer a lively atmosphere by the sea. The city is known for its legendary events that attract visitors from all over.
The Church of San Matteo is a magnificent Catholic place of worship located in the municipality of Laigueglia. It is a splendid example of Ligurian Baroque architecture and has been undergoing renovations for several decades. The high altar and the largest cartelame in Italy have recently been restored, adding to the church's grandeur.
Visitors to Laigueglia are advised to arrive early in the morning or late in the evening to secure a parking spot, as paid parking is often full during the summer months. While dining in the city, I tried two restaurants, but unfortunately, neither of them impressed me. One was too expensive, and the other failed to deliver on taste.
