This beach has a rich history and a charming, vintage vibe. While some may find the facilities a bit old-fashioned, the unique character of the establishment is undeniable. As a native of Genoa, I can attest that Liguria is not renowned for its hospitality and generosity. However, my recent visit to the beach surpassed all expectations. The locals were incredibly kind and hospitable, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. It was a refreshing reminder that kindness and entrepreneurship can go hand in hand.

Located on the Europa Varazze seafront, bordering Cogoleto, there is a historic bathroom. The beach is spacious and well-maintained, and you can enjoy a delicious seafood lunch or other options. The owner, Mauro, cooks excellent grilled dishes. Mrs. Ra Franca's first courses are nothing less than superb.

Unfortunately, our family's experience at the beach was unpleasant, especially for our 4-year-old daughter. Throughout the day, the staff repeatedly approached us with extreme rudeness because we had placed our two sunbeds directly under the shade of our umbrella. This seemed to bother other customers, who complained that we were too close to them, even though we had paid for our spot. As a result, we were forced to sit in the sun, and we felt so unwelcome that we ultimately decided to leave without having lunch. Furthermore, we discovered that the prices were considerably higher than those at neighboring beaches. In mid-September, we paid 30 euros for two sunbeds and an umbrella, whereas other beach establishments in Cogoleto charged only 25 or even 20 euros for the same service. Additionally, the restaurant prices were also exorbitant when compared to the competition. Consequently, we have no plans to return to this beach in the future.
