The personnel at the beach were amicable, however, regrettably, the management was handled by an impolite and unskilled individual. I do not suggest visiting this location, as there are numerous other places to choose from. The experience was dreadful.

The beach experience was quite disappointing as the proprietor and lifeguard were quite strict about allowing only patrons of their establishment into the water. This seemed unfair as the ocean is a public resource available to all. Such behavior is unacceptable and requires prompt intervention.

4 Frustrating

Despite the clear and refreshing water, the lack of personal space is a major drawback. The exorbitant cost of sunbed rentals adds insult to injury, making it feel like we're in a luxury resort rather than a beach. The food prices are also outrageous, with a simple salad costing a whopping 11 euros and leaving us feeling unsatisfied. Although the beach itself is stunning, we won't be returning due to these issues.

The ocean is truly stunning, however, the overall experience is subpar. Unfortunately, the bar staff enforces a strict rule that prohibits individuals without umbrellas from accessing the beach, which seems reasonable, but they also prevent them from moving among the already established umbrellas to reach the water, which is not only inconvenient but also against the law. The bar service is decent, and you can enjoy a game of cards and a drink, but be prepared to pay a premium price for it.

Margheritta offers a beautiful public beach with gray sand and pebbles near Portofino. It's a great spot to spend the day and enjoy the natural surroundings.
