We parked near this tower and spent the night in our camper. The view was amazing and there was a nice breeze that provided good protection from the wind. The beach was conveniently located near the nearby villages where local fishermen cleaned octopuses and fish. We were fortunate to have beach service that brought us a variety of delicious food, including fresh fish, tomatoes, mozzarella, bread, and even potatoes.

The beach is quite fascinating, but it's unfortunate that it lacks the appreciation it deserves from people. It seems like not many are aware of the local history, which is a shame as they are gradually losing their connection to the past. In my opinion, it would be better to have spotlights illuminating the tower at night, and allowing cars to get too close is a mistake. Additionally, the old building nearby should be restored and serve as the town hall. Considering that Italy is known for having the highest number of vegetarians and vegans among first world countries, Torre Chianca could benefit from having a vegetarian restaurant.

The beach boasts a pleasant 16th-century square-based coastal watchtower, which is one of the five remaining towers in the Lecce province and approximately 50 in the Salento region. It provides a lovely setting for leisurely walks along the shoreline.

The town near Lecce is quite pleasant. It's a great place for leisurely strolls along the beach or exploring the surrounding area by bike. You'll find sandy beaches near the tower.
