Porto Istana Beach

One of the most picturesque beaches, which can only be described as paradise on earth. The crystal-clear, azure water sparkles in the sun, and the view of the majestic Tavolara mountain is simply breathtaking. During our visit, we were lucky enough to discover a starfish, adding to the already mesmerizing experience. Although it was September, the beach was a bit crowded, but that did not diminish the beauty of the place. Finding a spot to park was not an issue, and we were able to enjoy every moment of our stay.

I have to say, this beach in Sardegna is a true gem and ranks as my second favourite. The water is absolutely pristine - clear as crystal - and you can easily spot the fish swimming around your feet. The waves are gentle, making it perfect for swimming and lounging. However, it's important to note that August is a peak season and the beach can get extremely crowded. If you want to secure a front sunbed, I highly recommend booking at least a month in advance. But don't worry, even if you can't snag a bed, the soft sand is just as comfortable. Plus, the backdrop of the majestic mountains is simply breathtaking.

This beach is an absolute gem, with breathtaking vistas that will leave you in awe. It's hard not to develop a crush on this stunning spot, with its pristine sands and crystal-clear waters. Prepare to be swept off your feet by the sheer beauty of it all.

The beach was absolutely stunning with white sand and clear water. Although it was crowded, it was still bearable, but got really crowded in the afternoon. The organised parking lot had limited spaces, but like the locals, I managed to find a space on the road. You can either rent a bed and a parasol or bring your own as there is space for both. However, the lifeguard who also took money for the beds was super rude. He asked me to leave my space as there was a family of four wanting it, even though they had not reserved it. Lucky for me, I had a parasol with me, so I opened it on the allocated area, but it was still an unpleasant experience. There was a bar on the beach, and there was also a restaurant/bar near the parking lot. If you are without a car, there is a bus that gets there, but if you have a car, it's a 20-minute drive from Olbia. Have fun!

The beach was absolutely stunning! The water was crystal clear and the view was breathtaking. It wasn't overcrowded, which made for a perfect day.
