The Cala Goloritze beach boasts a spacious parking area right in front of the park, allowing for easy access. However, visitors should note that the entry fee of 6€ per person is in place to maintain a limited number of guests on the small beach. The crystal-clear waters of the beach resemble those of the Caribbean Sea, making it a must-visit destination. To make the most of the experience, it is highly recommended to arrive early in the morning as the sun may disappear behind the mountains by 3 p.m. during November. The terrain leading to the beach is technical and includes both uphill and downhill sections, so it is advisable to wear appropriate footwear and avoid flip-flops.

Wow, where to even begin. To ensure entry, make sure to book in advance through the “Heart of Sardinia” app as only 250 visitors are permitted per day. We arrived early in the morning by car and parked at the designated lot. It’s important to stock up on water as there are no facilities past the restaurant at the parking area before embarking on the 3.5 km trek down. Although the path is well-marked, the steps and walkways can be quite challenging with an elevation change of approximately 600m. The descent took us an hour, while the ascent took an hour and a half. It’s crucial to have enough water for the journey back up, your body will thank you for it. Additionally, be mindful of the goats. As for the beach itself, it’s simply indescribable.

The hike to the beach was an absolute delight, particularly the journey there. Despite not being experienced hikers, we managed to complete the trek in just under an hour. However, we did find the return journey to be quite challenging. To ensure a spot on the beach, it is essential to book in advance as the area has limited capacity. Despite this, the beach is incredibly popular, and finding a good spot to bask in the sun can be a challenge. While the beach may be small, the sea is truly magnificent. We were initially concerned about the intense sunlight, but by noon, most of the beach was shaded. It is highly recommended to bring water and food, as there are no bars or eateries on or near the beach. Additionally, insect repellent is a must-have, as the area is teeming with wasps. The water is crystal clear and absolutely stunning, although some caution is advised as there are biting fish in the shallow waters near the shore.

Prepare yourself for a trek, my dear beachgoers! The journey to this oasis is a 3.6km hike with a vertical climb of approximately 500m. Don't let the easy-to-follow trail fool you, the terrain is a bit of a beast. On the bright side, it only costs €6 to access and parking is free. But, be sure to wear sturdy shoes and pack plenty of water for your stay. Once you're on the beach, there's no place to buy anything. Now, let's talk about the beach itself. It's a popular spot, so don't be surprised if you're rubbing elbows with fellow sun-seekers. I arrived around 3pm and the beach was already jam-packed. And, let me tell you, the photos don't always show the true nature of the sea. When the wind picks up, the waves can be quite rough. So, if you're not a confident swimmer, beware. All in all, I highly recommend this hidden gem of Sardinia. It's a beach that not many can say they've been to, and the journey there is an adventure in itself.

Let's get down to business: The breathtaking view of this beach is well-earned through a 1 to 1.5 hour hike, but trust me, it's more than worth it. Your efforts will be rewarded with a stunning shoreline boasting crystal-clear, turquoise waters - albeit with a slightly saltier taste. The sand is a pristine, white wonderland. During our visit, we spotted some jellyfish, so be sure to keep an eye out. The trail weaves through sun-soaked fields, rocky caves, and shaded groves where you may even run into some wild goats and boars. It's important to bring plenty of water, wear sturdy hiking shoes (or at least sneakers), and apply ample sunscreen.
