Cala Rocchi di San Nicola is a small inlet located between cliffs of the Paleozoic. It has a sandy beach with several boulders that have collapsed onto it. The area has an ancient, rugged, and wild appearance, with predominantly dark metamorphic rocks that date back to the Silurian to the Carboniferous era. To get there, follow the dirt road from Borgo dell'Argentiera towards Punta Argentiera, and then take the path that follows the ridge in an east-south-east direction towards Punta Lu Caparoni. The vegetation is dense and characterized by garrigue and maquis with various plants such as Phoenician juniper, wild olive, mastic, heather, rosemary, cistus, phillyrea, arbutus, and holm oak. The cliffs overhanging the sea provide a spectacular view along the way. Alternatively, you can take the reverse route from Lu Caparoni.
