The beach showcases the various shades of the sea flawlessly, living up to all expectations. During this summer, the storm surges have resulted in an abundance of algae being washed ashore, causing the beach to extend by 6 meters in certain areas. Over time, this has created a somewhat unpleasant algae swamp due to the stagnant water smell and the need to wade through the basin to reach the ocean. It is not advisable for families with young children.

We visited the beach two days ago. The sea was calm in the morning, but it gradually became rougher in the early afternoon. Currently, the beach is quite peaceful. You can access the free beach by crossing the dunes or a pine forest. Unfortunately, there are no trash bins available, so you must take your own waste with you, although not everyone follows this practice.

Difficult to locate, but definitely worth the search! It requires a short trek across a few sand dunes, but once you arrive, the peaceful sandy beach is pleasantly uncrowded.

The beach is absolutely stunning, but be cautious about parking your car on the main road. The straight white line indicates that parking is prohibited. Let's not contribute to the municipality of Gallipoli getting richer by paying fines for parking violations. The local police often use mobile cameras to ticket any vehicles that are parked unlawfully.
