4 Frustrating

The beach here is quite slender and the road that runs parallel to it is also narrow. There aren't many options for dining or lodging, making it seem more like a remote fishing village than a bustling beach destination. To the left, you'll spot a fish lighthouse while the Gori nuclear power plant looms in the distance. The waves are relatively tranquil, but the sand is interspersed with pebbles, making it less than ideal for swimming. Despite this, Pohang's Wolpo or Chilpogal exudes a unique atmosphere that's worth experiencing. If you happen to be en route to Busan or Ulsan, it's certainly worth stopping by for a look.

The beach may not be wide, but it boasts a lengthy coastline. The absence of commercialization lends a rustic charm to the area. The shower and toilet facilities are situated on the right side when facing away from the beach. It's an ideal spot for a family outing. During summer, the road that runs parallel to the shore operates as a one-way street, heading from South to North.

The pool entrance boasts a convenient parking lot that can accommodate around 30 vehicles. During my afternoon visit that lasted until 7 pm, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that there were no entrance fees. I couldn't tell if the lack of fees was due to the staff being off-duty or if it's a village policy to attract more visitors. Compared to other nearby pools, this beach is relatively less crowded, providing a peaceful and serene atmosphere. There are also various guesthouses available for those who want to stay longer. The safety of guests is also a top priority as there are police substations and 119 surveillance towers around the area. Lastly, I highly recommend visiting the three-story coffee shop called Gyeong ** Pe located at the end of the beach. It's a great place to unwind and enjoy a cup of coffee while taking in the breathtaking views.
