Tsiandamba Beach

Staying at Kokoa Sands was the highlight of our two-week vacation in the Southwest. We had the pleasure of staying in the beachfront guest house, which offered a breathtaking ocean view through a wall made entirely of glass. We left the doors open throughout the night to enjoy the soothing sound of the waves crashing in. It's hard to imagine a more delightful place to stay. Jean Michel and Pearl were incredibly kind and welcoming, treating us like family. They even went out of their way to organize a surprise birthday celebration for my friend. During our stay, we had the opportunity to canoe along the coast, thanks to the generosity of our hosts. We also hiked up the beach to a small cliff, where we witnessed a stunning sunset. Additionally, we made a visit to The Kokoa Sands Reserve. This remarkable project is a collaborative effort between the local community and the guest house. The salt flats and spiny forest within the reserve are home to several bird species that are unique to the Southwest. I cannot emphasize enough how highly I recommend this place!

The beach is absolutely stunning with its white sand, and there are plenty of activities to keep you entertained. However, what really makes this experience unforgettable is the exceptional kindness of Pearl, Jean Michel, and their teams. Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity!

We had the pleasure of staying at Kokoa Sands Guesthouse for 5 days. Our accommodation was on the ground floor of the lagoon villa, offering breathtaking views and a terrace right in front of the house. Waking up to the sight of the sea was truly amazing. Although Kokoa Sands is located a bit offsite, about a 2-hour drive from Tulear, mostly on a sandy road, the journey is well worth it. The beach and sea there are incredibly beautiful, and most of the time, you'll have the beach all to yourself, with only a few locals around. It's the perfect spot for relaxation and seclusion! Pearl and Jean Michel are incredibly attentive to their guests, going above and beyond to make you feel like part of their family rather than a stranger in a hotel. While Kokoa Sands is a small establishment, don't expect the luxury of a 5-star hotel. However, you won't miss it at all. The food, prepared fresh three times a day by the local team, is absolutely amazing. In fact, it was the best food we had during our three weeks of traveling through Madagascar! The three dogs, Mango, Samba, and Bandit, are also very caring. They even join you on your beach walks or runs, ensuring your safety. We absolutely adored this place and highly recommend it as a little hideaway in the most stunning corner of Madagascar!

This place is truly exceptional, with amazing people and a very warm and friendly atmosphere. It's a must-visit destination.

We had an amazing time in the South of Madagascar! The emerald lagoon was breathtaking, and our accommodation was excellent. The food was not only fresh but also incredibly tasty. Perle and her team gave us a warm welcome that made us feel like we were at home. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. We want to express our gratitude to Perle and her team for creating such a memorable experience. We are definitely planning on returning in the future!
