Ghadira Bay

The beach is pleasant, but it can become dirty at times. Additionally, the quality of the toilets can vary. There are superior beaches to be found in Malta, possibly even within the same bay. However, it is enjoyable to stroll by for the scenery.

Renting umbrellas and sunbeds costs 15 euros and is available until 6pm, after which you can relax on the sand. The water and sand are both very clean, and we had a great time at this beach. The first 50 meters of water are shallow, making it a good spot for children.

This beach boasts a lovely stretch of soft sand, but unfortunately, the lack of restroom facilities is a major issue. The few portable toilets available cost a euro per use and appear to go unattended, leaving them in a less than desirable state. With no showers to rinse off the sand, it can be challenging to leave the beach feeling clean. While there are a few stands offering refreshments and snacks, the quality of the fast food is questionable, as it seems to be pre-prepared and only briefly grilled. Many areas are left uncleaned, leading to an abundance of bees and litter, particularly cigarette butts. The only proper dining options are two restaurants located at either end of the beach. If you're looking to relax on a sunbed with an umbrella, be prepared to pay €15 for two beds and an umbrella, and don't be surprised if they start packing up early. Overall, the lack of clean and accessible restrooms is a significant drawback for this otherwise lovely beach, and it would be great to see more effort put into maintaining the facilities for the visitors who pay to enjoy it.

This public beach offers all the amenities you could ask for, including restrooms, showers, and fast-food stands. You can even rent a sunbed with a sunshade for ultimate relaxation. While the sea is warm and inviting, there may be some litter during high tide. The only downside is the sunbed renters who start packing up as early as 4 pm, causing a lot of noise and disturbance until 6 pm. Despite this, the beach is still a great spot to soak up the sun and enjoy the ocean.

The beach is truly spectacular with breathtaking views and crystal clear waters that are simply amazing. During our visit, the beach was surprisingly empty, which could be attributed to ongoing construction work in the area. The sound of roadworks being carried out throughout the day and night was a bit of a nuisance, but if it weren't for that, we could have easily spent the whole day here. The low tide allowed us to fully enjoy the water, and we were able to refill our water bottles with the convenient and affordable 25c water bottle refill machine. The beach is easily accessible with bus stops located along its length. However, the limited toilet facilities were quite full and dirty. The sand on this beach is truly unique and probably the only one of its kind in Malta.
