Essaouira Beach

The beach called Nice Beach stretches from the South Harbour. It features a wonderful promenade that spans a few miles. The sand on the foreshore is finely textured and tightly packed, making it perfect for activities like running and playing football. In fact, the locals often arrange games and designate playing areas in the evenings and throughout Sundays. Rest assured, there is still ample space available.

The beach is absolutely beautiful, with pristine cleanliness and an impressive length. There are playgrounds available for children to enjoy, as well as nearby facilities for bathing. It is an ideal location for surfing and kitesurfing, and you can also take leisurely walks along the shore. For a unique experience, you can even ride a horse or camel, particularly during the enchanting sunset. The sunset itself is truly breathtaking, evoking a sense of tranquility and spirituality. It is a wonderful place to unwind and spend quality time with loved ones. However, it's worth noting that the water can be quite chilly and the wind can pick up at times.

The beach is beautiful. If you go near the umbrellas and camels, you might be approached by vendors, but we were able to enjoy peaceful walks on the sand without any interruptions. We also found some amazing seashells along the shoreline. The beach stretches for several kilometers, and there are sand dunes at the far end, away from the old town.

However, the water can be a bit chilly outside of the summer months, especially when compared to the warmer southern regions along the coast, etc. Additionally, the beach offers breathtaking sunsets that paint the sky over the nearby island.

No one was kitesurfing, possibly because it wasn't the right season, despite the strong Atlantic wind blowing. The beach was mainly used by people playing soccer, maybe dreaming of Amrabat from Florentina Club in Italy. However, the city in blue was attractive, and there was a good selection of freshly caught fish available at a reasonable price, which we grilled and enjoyed right there. The sun was warm, around 24°C, and the fishing boats were a deep blue, creating an immersive scenery. The walk through the suk was pleasant and not too crowded. It was a long day trip from Marrakesh, covering 190 kilometers each way. It was a bit tiring and took a while, but the speed limit on that route kept us at a safe pace of 60 or 80 kilometers per hour, which was good. However, going at around 70 or 90 kilometers per hour would have been more or less safe as well.
