Cas Abao beach

This beach in Curacao is the most stunning one, but its shore is quite rocky.

This is the best beach I've been to. The sand is incredibly white and powdery. The beach itself is very wide and long, providing plenty of space for everyone. There are also lots of chairs and shaded areas available. They even have a snack bar right there on the beach. If you're into scuba diving, you're in luck because they offer that too. The views are breathtaking and the snorkeling experience is absolutely fantastic.

This beach is ideal for children! It has a sandy shoreline and a spacious bay for leisurely walks and enjoyment. The beach offers important amenities, with a car entrance fee of ANG 12 and each chair costing ANG 5. If you prefer, you can bring your own chair. The chair price also includes a ticket for the shower facilities. The restaurant provides various simple food options, and you are welcome to bring your own food as well. If you arrive early, you have the opportunity to select fantastic spots to settle down.

The sand at this beach is extremely white. According to the sign, it has been recognized as one of the top 21 beaches in the world (possibly by National Geographic). There is an entrance fee, and they provide amenities such as sun chairs, umbrellas, a bar, massages, and even a dive school. Personally, I preferred Porto Mari due to its better infrastructure, or Big Knip if you prefer a more natural setting. However, I encourage you to give this beach a try and form your own opinion.

Cas Abao beach has been our favorite beach since 2009, but in recent years, they have started reserving the best part of the beach exclusively for cruise ship customers. They do not allow other paying customers to sit where they want, even though they have also paid for entrance and chairs. There is no warning about this at the entrance either. I feel like a second-class customer, despite paying for beach entry. Either they should block off the entire beach for cruise ship passengers and not allow others to pay and enter, or they should stop discriminating against customers. Today, the right side of the beach was completely blocked off for non-cruise ship passengers. However, before they did so, we had already taken chairs on the right side. After we sat down, they covered the area with police tape, which looked quite unpleasant, and they tried to force us to move to the other side of the beach. We refused to move, but I was extremely annoyed. Today is the last day of our vacation, and all we wanted was to create some nice memories before leaving. Unfortunately, this experience was not a pleasant one. It's a shame that my last day in Curacao was not as enjoyable as I had hoped.
