Champagne Beach

It was a delight to find ourselves on a serene and secluded beach, with only a handful of other tourists for company. The crystal-clear water and white sand were a sight to behold, making it an ideal spot for snorkeling, jumping into the water from the jetty, or simply frolicking in the waves. We spent an enjoyable day building sandcastles and having a blast. Although we didn't encounter any locals and the bars were closed, it was understandable given the low number of visitors. The beach also had the convenience of toilets. The entry fee of 2000VUV per vehicle was a small price to pay for such a fantastic experience.

This beach is supposed to be world class, but let's be real, it's just another overhyped tourist trap. Sure, it might be pristine and top-rated in Vanuatu, but that's not saying much. The beach is huge, but don't expect any privacy when you're fighting for a spot with the other handful of visitors. And let's not forget about the two little beach bars that are probably overpriced and overcrowded. The bathroom facilities are nothing to write home about either, so make sure to pack your own toilet paper. Oh, and did we mention that this beach is in the middle of nowhere? Good luck getting there without a GPS and a sense of adventure.

The ocean waters were exceptionally clear, making it an ideal spot for snorkeling enthusiasts. We opted to take a van from our hotel in town and the driver kindly waited for us while we explored the nearby market and took a dip in the refreshing waters. It's recommended to bring your own snorkeling gear for a more personalized experience. Additionally, the on-site restrooms were well-maintained and spotless. There's an entry fee of 2000vt per vehicle, but it's well worth the price for a memorable beach day.

I have had the pleasure of visiting one of the most stunning beaches and I must say, it was an absolute paradise. The water was so crystal clear, it was almost as if you could see right through it. The sand was incredibly fine and felt amazing between my toes, as if I was walking on clouds. It was truly a heavenly experience and the best part was that it was not overcrowded. If you find yourself in Santo, this is a must-visit destination.
