5 Tolerable

Observing the sea glass was a delightful experience, but the sight of the hillside marred by litter was disheartening. It baffles me why the authorities have not taken any measures to clear the debris. The extent of the garbage was overwhelming, piled upon each other in layers. It would be commendable if the $40 fee charged for visiting Bermuda could be utilized to remove the trash and restore the beauty of the beach.

9 Excellent

Glass Beach lives up to its name with its sparkling and shimmering concrete walls adorned with an array of glass fragments. The glass, polished by the constant ebb and flow of the ocean, creates a unique and breathtaking sight that is sure to leave you in awe. Despite the abundance of glass, walking along the beach is safe and easy, thanks to the dulled edges of the glass fragments. With its convenient location just a 30-40 minute walk from the Royal Naval Dockyard, Glass Beach is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for a one-of-a-kind beach experience.

8 Very good

Glass Beach, while once a dumping ground for waste, now boasts a unique and fascinating landscape. The remnants of past human activity have been sculpted by the ocean into colorful, shimmering treasures. While a reminder of our impact on the environment, it's also a testament to nature's ability to transform even the most unsightly of sites. Sorting out the remaining debris would certainly enhance the beach's beauty, but even in its current state, it's a must-see destination for anyone seeking a one-of-a-kind coastal experience.

4 Frustrating

A mere 25 minutes of strolling from the dockyard, with the majority of your time spent on the sidewalk. Except, of course, for the two thrilling moments where you get to dodge traffic for a total of 40 meters. If you happen to have an hour and a half to waste before boarding your ship, why not pop over for a visit? Just make sure to bring your trusty Google Maps, and on the way back, simply saunter your way towards the dock. Because who needs a relaxing day at the beach without a little adventure, am I right?

If you're short on time during your visit to Bermuda, it may not be worth the trek to this particular beach. While it certainly has a distinctive charm, it appears to be somewhat neglected and the glassy waters don't appear to be as abundant as they do in the glossy professional photos. If you choose to make the 20 minute walk from the naval dock yard, be mindful that there aren't any sidewalks and you'll need to keep an eye out for passing cars. Alternatively, you can take a 50 minute bus ride from Hamilton to reach the beach.
