Ilig Iligan Beach, located in the far north-east of the island, is a secluded gem that is often overlooked by tourists. The beach boasts only one structure, which is rarely occupied by visitors. It's important to note that during the winter season, the beach is often hit by strong east winds, making it unsuitable for swimming. However, during the summer months, the beach is a popular destination for boat tours around the island, thanks to the westerly winds. Recently, a pair of white buildings were constructed on either side of the beach, standing out against the more traditional colored resorts nearby. While some may have personal aesthetic preferences, these new structures provide a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere that allows visitors to fully appreciate the clean beach and its nearby reef. With the construction now complete, those seeking a serene beach experience can finally enjoy the beauty of Ilig Iligan Beach.

The beach appears to be an alluring destination at first glance, but upon closer inspection, it becomes clear that it is nothing more than a mundane and overrated location. The sand is gritty and uncomfortable underfoot, the water is murky and uninviting, and the crowds of people are suffocating and overwhelming. It's a shame that such a hyped-up location fails to live up to its reputation.
